Actress Smita Lamichhane has been signed for the film “Mitjyu,” directed by Anil Budha Magar. The production team has shared that Lamichhane was signed for the film on the occasion of her birthday.
Lamichhane, who is also a producer, made her debut as a leading actress in Nepali films with “12 Sattais.” Her film “Aankha,” which she both produced and acted in, was released in October last year. Along with this, her leading role in the film “M Rajesh Hamal” is set for release soon.
The production team behind last year’s hit film “Gharjwai” is working on “Mitjyu,” which will begin shooting in Mangsir (November/December). “Gharjwai,” released at the end of Ashar last year, celebrated its 51st day in theaters, receiving excellent feedback from both audiences and critics. “Mitjyu” is currently in the scriptwriting stage, and actor Dayahang Rai and actress Teriya Fauja Magar have already been signed for the main roles.
The film will be produced under the banners of GM Movies Production and ABM Cine Production. The release date for the film has been confirmed for Nepali New Year, April 13th (Chait 27th). The script of the film is written by Mahesh Rai, and the production controller is Dhan Bahadur Rai.
