The Nepali film ‘Unko Sweater’ is successfully drawing audiences back to theaters, making a strong commercial impact. The film, which started its nationwide release on Friday, has seen an overwhelming response from viewers, with notable box office performance on its opening day. It appears to be on track to become one of the top-performing films of the year.

After its release, the movie has experienced a significant crowd in theaters across the country. From the Kathmandu Valley to multiplexes in the East and West, and even single-screen theaters, the film has drawn a considerable audience, as reported by distributors. The strong turnout continued throughout the day, with many shows being sold out, indicating the film’s widespread appeal.

The film’s success on the first day has encouraged many theaters across the country to increase the number of shows for Saturday. According to distributor Govind Shahi, most theaters were filled to capacity by Saturday morning. He noted that the film is currently showing in over 300 theaters nationwide.

With extremely positive feedback from the audience, ‘Unko Sweater’ is also expected to release its collection for both Friday and Saturday together. Having already received praise from both special guests and general viewers at the premiere, the film seeks to highlight Nepali society, culture, and a love story.

Directed by Naveen Chauhan, the film features performances by Bipin Karki, Miruna Magar, Pariksha Limbu, Alex Paras, Wilson Bikram Rai, Suraj Tamang, Bhawana Khapangi Magar, and Sunil Pokharel, among others. With its song, trailer, and teaser creating excitement, ‘Unko Sweater’ seems to be on its way to becoming one of the top contenders for the first blockbuster of the year.
