Filming of Janai Harayeko Bahun: Sambandhka Dhagaharu has been completed. The production team announced the completion of the shoot during a grand end-clap party held on Monday at a party palace in Chyasal, Lalitpur, stating that the entire filming was wrapped up in 35 days.

The production team confirmed at the event that the film’s complete shooting was accomplished within 35 days.

According to the producers, the film was shot in various locations including Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, and Kavre. “The shoot went as expected and turned out well,” said director Himal Neupane, “Now, we’ll work hard during post-production to deliver a good film to the audience.”

The film is directed by Himal Neupane, marking his directorial debut.

Janai Harayeko Bahun: Sambandhka Dhagaharu centers on the unexpected circumstances faced by a simple man who moves from a village to the city, and how those experiences change his life. The film also tells an emotional story between a mother and her son.

Actor Manish Raut, known for Prem Geet 3, is the film’s associate director.

The film features a strong lineup of actors including Vijay Baral, actresses Keki Adhikari and Miruna Magar, as well as Gaurav Pahari and Sushank Mainali in lead roles. Also starring are Bhola Raj Sapkota, Riar Rai, Bhawana Khapangi Magar, Rupesh Lama, Suman Thapa, among others.

Speaking at the end-clap event, actor Vijay Baral said, “I worked with Keki, I worked with Miruna, and had the chance to work with many more ‘intense people.’ I’m just an ordinary person, so I portrayed a character that fits me. This film doesn’t just tell the story of a father and son, but of many relationships. I believe it will touch the hearts of the audience.”

Associate director Raut added that the film attempts to weave life experiences, relationships, the characters’ dialogues, and struggles together like the threads of a sacred janai (sacred thread).

Produced under the banner of Paperclip Production, the film is produced by Kamal Neupane and Bimal Neupane. Co-producers include RK Manandhar, Rupesh Lama, CR Basnet, and Philip DC.

The story, screenplay, and dialogues are written by Bhanubhakta Dhakal. Dinesh Bahadur Raut is the chief assistant director, with assistant directors Tarka Raj Neupane, Rabindra Nepal, Monika Thapa, and Akash K.C.

The film features music by Prashant Shiwakoti, SD Yogi, Thaneshwar Gautam, and Arjun Pokharel.

The DOP is Navin Gurung, with cinematography by Krishna Pariyar.

The film is tentatively planned for release during the Teej festival in Bhadra (August/September), but an official release date has yet to be confirmed.
