
Director Shovit Basnet’s film PR has completed its filming.
The production team wrapped up the shoot in just 28 days. According to director Basnet, 18 days of filming took place in Australia and 10 days in Nepal. The second shooting schedule began in Dhampus, Kaski, after the initial phase in Australia.
After completing the shoot, director Basnet shared that filming was done in both Australia and Nepal as per the story’s demand.
“I completed the shooting of PR strictly following the story,” he said. “The actors have done an excellent job. That’s why I’m confident this film has turned out very well.”
He appeared enthusiastic and confident that the audience will love his film.
Under the banner of Salon Salina Films, PR portrays the struggles of Nepalis living abroad in pursuit of permanent residency (PR), and the expectations and trust their parents in Nepal place on them. The film also sheds light on the hardships faced by these children in foreign lands.
Presented by Ranjit Shah, RFM Facility Management, and Lan Wei Dumplings, the film features performances by Nir Shah, Gauri Malla, Rabindra Khadka, Uttam KC, R.A. Suraj Paudel, Rajan Kunwar, Binita Karki, Puja Chaudhary, Bimala Khatri, Asma Adhikari, Kushal Thapa, Ganesh Budhathoki, Krishna Thapa, Max, and Naveen Ghayal, among others.
The film is financed by Pradeep Dahal of A One Group Service, Laxman Sapkota of Indreni Group, and Ranjit Shah.
It features music by Manas Raj and Bhim BC, choreography by Ramji Lamichhane, story by Shobhit Basnet, and screenplay and dialogues by Ganesh Budhathoki.
Cinematography has been done by Saurabh Manandhar (Australia) and Saurabh Lama (Nepal), with editing by Bande Prasad.
Ramji Raut, Ganesh Budhathoki, and Mani Tamang serve as chief assistant directors, while Kewalman Singh Basnet is the production manager.
