Keki Adhikari is set to appear on screen after a year. She will be seen on the silver screen through the film Ke Ghar Ke Dera: Ghar No. 2.

Since Bokshiko Ghar, Keki hasn’t appeared in any film. In Bokshiko Ghar, she played the lead role and also worked as a producer.

She mentioned that taking on multiple responsibilities at once caused stress and pressure, which led her to take a short break. Keki said that after a year, she finally got to work on a project that she truly wanted.

Ke Ghar Ke Dera: Ghar No. 2 is directed by Dipendra K. Khanal. Keki plays one of the lead roles in the film.

This is the first collaboration between Keki and Dipendra. Although Keki is established as an actress and Dipendra as a director, the two had never worked together in a film until now.

“He (Dipendra K. Khanal) is an exceptional storyteller in himself. But I hadn’t had the chance to work with him before,” said Keki. “For the first time, I got the opportunity to work in such a wonderful film.”

Keki said that Ke Ghar Ke Dera: Ghar No. 2 is a film based on an original story that reflects the lives of ordinary Nepalis. According to her, the film tells the story of those who have homes and those who dream of building one.

She said the film also portrays the struggles of people who move from villages to Kathmandu. She expressed that there’s a common misconception that stories set in Kathmandu aren’t authentic Nepali stories.

“A story about a Nepali working at NASA in America is also an original Nepali story. Nepali science fiction is also a Nepali story,” she said. “Now, stories shouldn’t be limited to villages. We need to tell stories from cities and abroad as well. Stories of Nepalis in villages, cities, and foreign lands are all ours.”

She believes the strongest aspect of Ke Ghar Ke Dera: Ghar No. 2 is its script and direction. The story, direction, experienced cast, and dedication to the work, she says, have made the film excellent.

The script of the film is written by author Buddhisagar, and it is his first screenplay.

The film features Keki Adhikari alongside Khagendra Lamichhane, Nischal Basnet, Upasana Singh Thakuri, Aryan Sigdel, Prakash Ghimire, Srijana Napit, Sanjog Rasaili, Rubina Ghimire, Suraj Bista, and others. Ke Ghar Ke Dera: Ghar No. 2 is releasing on Jestha 2.

The film is produced under the banner of Apple Entertainment, A Plus Entertainment, and Natraj Creation. Cinematography is done by Krishna Bahadur Thapa.

Yubraj Karki is the executive producer of Ke Ghar Ke Dera: Ghar No. 2. The producers are Nakeem Uddin, Sharad Shrestha, and Kiran Maharjan.
