
A program titled Comedy Darbar in America is set to take place in the United States. Aryan Films Production Pvt. Ltd. announced the event during a press conference held on Saturday.
The company formally signed an agreement with Maya Entertainment Studios, the producer of Comedy Darbar, on Saturday morning. On behalf of Aryan Films, CEO Gopal Katuwal signed the agreement, while Shraddha Prasai signed on behalf of the production company for Comedy Darbar.
Speaking after the signing, Aryan Films CEO Katuwal said that although the company has long been active in producing films and music videos, this will be its first project at the international level. He added that their goal is to reach as many Nepalis in the U.S. as possible.
Similarly, Comedy Darbar director Shraddha Prasai expressed her excitement about taking the show internationally.
“We’re coming to America with Comedy Darbar in America this September and October. We’re very excited and eagerly waiting,” she said.
Aryan Films Chairman Ramesh MK Paudel highlighted that laughter is a form of medicine and said the program is aimed at fulfilling the entertainment needs of Nepali-speaking communities in America. He informed that the show is planned for 16 locations across 10 U.S. states.
“Our show will act as a dose of laughter for Nepalis living in the U.S.,” he said.
The program will be held in Texas, New York, Ohio, Maryland, Virginia, California, Colorado, New Jersey, Florida, and Oklahoma.
The event in America is being organized in collaboration with well-known Nepali businessman and social worker Pasang Lama, who resides in the U.S. Lama, who won the Number One Retail Business Award in 2020, operates over 150 gas stations and retail stores across various states.
The estimated cost of the tour is between 15 to 20 million Nepalese Rupees (NPR).
Most of the artists from Comedy Darbar were present at the announcement event. They also expressed their happiness and called on Nepalis in the U.S. to get ready for full entertainment.
The event featured appearances by Sujata Shrestha, Bishwas Timilsina, Pavitra Saki, Sundar Khanal, Himesh Pant, and Bikash Aryal.
Aryan Films is a company engaged in producing films and music videos. Under its banner, it has produced films such as Rudrapriya, Rajja Rani, and Timro Mero Saath. The company also operates a digital platform through Bodhi HD Channel.
