A new emotional song titled ‘Baba Aama…’ has been released, with the music video made available on OSR Digital’s YouTube channel on Friday evening.
The song, beautifully sung by Shiva Pariyar, carries a deep emotional tone. It features music by Deepak Sharma, with arrangement by Kushal Singh, recording by Rajesh Shrestha, and mixing by Kishor Thapa.
The video for this song includes performances by Saroj Khanal, Suryamala Khanal, Bhuvan Lohani, Saina Dangol, Ashamaya Dangol, Sanjog Adhikari, Pranvi Adhikari, Akalman Dangol, and Surendra Dangol, among others. The video, much like the song itself, is heart-touching.
The lyrics were written by Bhuvan Lohani, who has been active in music video modeling in the United States for the past five years. Bhuvan shared that the song is based on a personal family tragedy. Last year, during Dashain, while he was preparing to return home, he lost his entire family in a car accident near Ranimahal, Palpa, on the day of Phulpati. The accident claimed the lives of his parents, sister-in-law, nephew, and his sister-in-law’s mother. His brother, the sole survivor, recovered after a long treatment.
In the wake of this tragedy, Bhuvan, who was grieving the loss of his family, wrote the song ‘Baba Aama…’ as a tribute to his parents. He shared that he recorded the song to mark the anniversary of his parents’ passing and has now released the music video to share with the audience.
Bhuvan, who has been residing in Lexington, Kentucky, for several years, has previously appeared in around half a dozen music videos. In this particular video, he plays the role of a son, with Saroj Khanal playing his father and Suryamala Khanal playing his mother. He explained, “Even though I lost my entire family in the car accident, I dedicated this song to my parents, capturing the story of their struggles.”
The video was directed by Bishal Ghimire, with Saugat Basnet serving as the executive producer. The cinematography was done by Navaraj Upreti, edited by Saugat Basnet, and color grading by Rajendra Moktan.
