
The movie ‘Rimai’, directed by Khil Bahadur Gurung, officially began filming on Tuesday with a ceremonial launch in Siranchok, Gorkha. According to director Gurung, the formal production started after the auspicious muhurat event.
The first shot of the movie featured actors Dayahang Rai and Rishma Gurung. Over the next month, the film will be shot in various locations across Gorkha, including Siranchok, Jhar Gaun, Kul Gaun, Bhangeri, Lase, Simle, Gohare, Chitre Pokhari, and Gorkha Bazaar.
‘Rimai’ is presented by Gorkha Siranchok and Liggigkot Films Pvt. Ltd., in collaboration with RR Films and Roteping Entertainment. The movie is presented by Rohit Kattel, with Ratna Shrestha serving as the executive producer.
The cast includes Dayahang Rai, Rishma Gurung, Buddhi Tamang, Gaumaya Gurung, Kavita Ale Magar, Mao Tse Gurung, Pushkar Gurung, Birbal Ghale, and DB Gurung, among others. The producers of the movie are Birbal Ghale, Tika Gurung, and Dun Bahadur Ghale, while Binu Gurung, Roshan Bhattarai, and Rajesh Ghimire are the co-producers.
Written by Upendra Subba, the movie’s cinematography will be handled by Shailendra Dhoj Karki. Kiran Chamling Rai will serve as the chief assistant director, Bishnu Mainali as the production manager, and Mitra D. Gurung as the editor. The distribution of the movie will be managed by RR Films.
