Senior Actor Krishna Malla Re-Elected as Chairman of Nepal Film Society

Senior actor Krishna Malla has been re-elected unopposed as the central chairman of the Nepal Film Society.

The 12th general assembly of the Nepal Film Society elected Malla to the position.

The general assembly, held at Thumki Resort in Kavrepalanchok, was graced by Dhulikhel Municipality Mayor Ashok Byanju Shrestha as the chief guest.

Distinguished guests included veteran actress Basundhara Bhusal, folk singer Prem Raja Mahat, Chairman of the Nepal Film Artists Association Mohan Niraula, Chairman of the Directors’ Society Janakdeep Parajuli, Laxman Neupane, and actress Karishma Manandhar.

After being elected chairman, Malla expressed his commitment to promoting Nepali artistry and working tirelessly to elevate Nepali cinema to the international stage.

First Vice-Chairman: Mohan Krishna Shrestha
Second Vice-Chairman: Narayan Pradhan
Third Vice-Chairman: Rakesh Khadka
General Secretary: Rajendra Kumar Bisural
Secretary: Tankanath Paudel
Treasurer: Shankar Lal Shrestha
Assistant Treasurer: Durga Bisural
Members: Sunil Katuwal, Madukumar Shrestha, Gopal Kaji Kayastha, Shivahari Bairagi, Sharmila Malla, RP Pant, and Subash Khadka

The Nepal Film Society also has branches in the United States and the United Kingdom.

The new leadership is expected to play a significant role in the development of Nepal’s film industry.
