The release date for the movie Mayabi has been officially updated, with a new release date now set for Falgun 14 (Mahashivaratri).
The production team had initially postponed the film from Kartik 15 to Poush 26, and now, it will release during the festival of Mahashivaratri.
The new release date was announced with the public unveiling of a fresh poster, which emphasizes the central roles of Paul Shah and Deepika Prasain. In the first poster, they are seen in romantic moments, with Paul appearing emotionally charged in one image. The background features Fewa Lake and a couple of boats, giving an insight into the film’s theme of love and separation.
Directed by Diwakar Bhattrai, Mayavi features a stellar cast including Deepika Prasain, Pal Shah, Prashant Tamrakar, Sushil Sitaula, Lakshmi Giri, Rajaram Poudel, Karishma Shrestha, and Anshu Maharjan.
While Diwakar was preparing to release his new film Narsingha Avatar during Mahashivaratri, he decided to push it back as post-production and shooting took longer than expected. This allowed Mayavi to take its place on the new release date.
On this date, Laj Sharanam is also set to release, followed by Hostel 3 on Falgun 16.
The screenplay for Mayabi was written by the director himself, while the producers include Raj Katwal, Chandra Pant, and Dhruba Neupane. The film features Raju Bikram Thapa as the DOP, Milan Shrestha as the editor, and music by Shambhujeet Baskota and SD Yogi.
