Producer Rohit Adhikari has announced his new film, ‘Maitighar’, which is set to release during the next Dashain festival.
The movie will be directed by Milan Tamang, who has also written the story. The screenplay and dialogue will be penned by Ramsharan Pathak. According to producer Adhikari, the film will explore the emotional journey of a daughter leaving her parental home, making it a heartfelt social drama.
Adhikari shared that popular actors will feature in the movie, with casting decisions to be finalized after the screenplay is completed.
The film’s shooting is planned for Falgun and Chaitra (February–April), with a targeted release during Dashain. Adhikari emphasized that no matter how many films are released during Dashain, he is committed to the planned release date for ‘Maitighar’.
Interestingly, the film will include the iconic title song from the original ‘Maitighar’, paying homage to the classic.
