‘Unko Sweater’ Starring Bipin Karki and Miruna Magar to Release on Baisakh 26

The much-anticipated movie ‘Unko Sweater ’, featuring Bipin Karki and Miruna Magar in lead roles, has announced its release date.

The release was confirmed through a poster revealed on Monday, stating the movie will hit theaters on Baisakh 26 (May 8, 2025).

The poster portrays Bipin Karki carrying a basket (doko) while holding a diary, while Miruna Magar is shown with a gentle smile, radiating happiness.

The film also stars Sunil Pokharel, Mao Tse Gurung, Wilson Bikram Rai, Prem Subba, Alex Paras, Pariksha Limbu, Suraj Tamang, Sharda Devi Silwal, and Bhavana Khapangi Magar, among others, alongside the lead actors.

‘Unko Sweater ’ is directed by Naveen Chauhan, marking his debut as a film director. Chauhan has previously gained recognition for directing popular music videos such as ‘Ghumi Ghumi,’ ‘Dekhera Timilai,’ ‘Teenpate,’ ‘Phulthunge Rani,’ and ‘Chandrama’. He has also written the story for the film, with collaboration from Suraj Katuwal.

The movie was entirely shot in Panchthar and at the Falelung border between Nepal and India. Its OST song ‘Phool’ has already become a hit.

The film’s music is directed by Sujan Chapagain, with the background score composed by Kobid Bajra. The lyricists are Harka Saud and Yuvraj Kafle, with contributions from composer Jhuma Limbu.

Associate producers include Kendra Motion Pictures, while Sahang Chemjong, Ashish Rizal, Rajkumar Rai, Prakash Basnet, and Santosh Nyaupane are co-producers. Sagar Budhathoki and Milan Khatri serve as executive producers.

The choreography is handled by Roshan Bik and Dip Gurung, cinematography by Chintan Rajbhandari, and editing by Krishna Bhandari. The distribution is managed by Kafiya Films and Kuber Cine Distribution.

‘Woolen Sweater’ is expected to offer a refreshing experience for viewers, blending rural storytelling with stunning cinematography and showcasing the on-screen chemistry between Bipin Karki and Miruna Magar.
