The upcoming movie ‘Karsang’, set to release on Poush 26 (January 10, 2025), has wrapped up shooting and begun its promotional campaign by unveiling its posters.
The production team is currently creating excitement among the audience by showcasing character looks of the lead actors, with a teaser scheduled to drop soon.
The promotional journey started with a poster featuring Dayahang Rai, followed by a solo poster of Jeetu Nepal. Recently, a new poster was revealed featuring both Jeetu Nepal and Diya Maskey. However, the continuous focus on Jeetu in the posters has sparked curiosity, with some questioning why Dayahang, the lead actor, isn’t being prominently highlighted.
This shift in focus has led to speculation that Jeetu might play a more central role in ‘Karsang’ than initially expected. Given Jeetu’s growing presence in lead roles, as seen in his recently released and commercially successful movie ‘Jwai Saab’, such doubts have gained traction.
Directed and written by debutant Yam Sherpa, ‘Karsang’ is rooted in the culture and traditions of the Sherpa community. The film features a stellar cast, including Dayahang Rai, Jeetu Nepal, debut actress Srijana Ninglekhu, Diya Maskey, Buddhi Tamang, Srishti Gautam, Doma Hyolmo, Prem Lopchan, and Survir Pandit.
Produced under the banners of Yarsa Films and Purushottam Pradhan Films, the movie credits Purushottam Pradhan as both the producer and cinematographer. The co-producers are Govinda Bohara, with Angchhiring Sherpa as the executive producer and Birendra Shahi as the line producer.
The film’s international distribution rights have been acquired by Hulya Events, represented by Suman Parajuli and Somlal Thokar, while RR Films will oversee its distribution within Nepal.
With its cultural depth, intriguing character dynamics, and a strong cast, ‘Karsang’ promises to captivate audiences and become a highlight of the upcoming release season.
