Two New Posters of ‘Mahabhoj’ Released, Teaser Coming Tuesday

The highly anticipated Nepali film Mahabhoj is set to release on Jestha 15, coinciding with Republic Day. Adding momentum to the promotion, the production team unveiled two new posters of the film on Sunday.

One of the released posters features the film’s six lead actors — Aryan Sigdel, Dayahang Rai, Khagendra Lamichhane, Anjana Baraili, Gaumaya Gurung, and Malika Mahat. The background of this poster shows money, hinting at the film’s reflection on political and social issues.

The second poster has a rural setting, showcasing the six main characters along with renowned actors like Basundhara Bhusal, Buddhi Tamang, and Kamalmani Nepal. Both posters are designed by Royal Bhimsen.

Director Dinesh Raut, while releasing the posters, announced that the teaser will be out on Tuesday, Baisakh 9. According to him, Mahabhoj is not only an entertaining film but also one with a powerful story that compels viewers to think.
He stated, “This film tries to depict the ongoing social events and their impact on people’s lives.”

Mahabhoj is a socially realistic film that portrays class struggle within Nepali society. It features powerful performances by actors including Dayahang Rai, Khagendra Lamichhane, Anjana Baraili, Gaumaya Gurung, Malika Mahat, Aryan Sigdel, as well as Basundhara Bhusal, Mohan Niraula, Buddhi Tamang, Kamalmani Nepal, Pushkar Gurung, Binod Neupane, Abha Aryal, and Birendra Singh Kushwaha, among others.

The film is jointly produced under the banners of Clock Work Creation and Picture Frame, with Himal Kadariya as the producer. The story and screenplay are written by Bikash Subedi.

According to the production team, the film will be released simultaneously in Nepal and in countries with a significant Nepali diaspora.

With its socially relevant themes, strong cast, powerful direction, and contemporary content, Mahabhoj is expected to leave a deep impression on its audience.
