Due to the overwhelming interest from audiences and positive feedback, the number of shows is continuously increasing across Nepal.

Along with its success in Nepal, there has been a huge demand for its international screenings. In the meantime, the filmmakers have issued an official clarification regarding misleading information circulating on social media about the film’s international release.

According to a press release issued by the film’s producer Prem Kumar Shrestha and director Milan Chams, the distribution and screening rights for countries other than Japan, Korea, Canada, and Hong Kong have not been sold yet. The statement mentions that there have been claims on social media about the worldwide release of the film, which are completely misleading and baseless.

The producers have stated that they have now begun officially offering distribution rights for other countries. They have requested interested distributors and exhibitors to contact only through official channels.

The film ‘Anjila,’ based on the life of Nepali national women’s football team captain and goalkeeper Anjila Tumbapo Subba, has received high praise from both audiences and critics for its story, presentation, acting, and direction. The film vividly presents the inspiring life journey of Anjila Tumbapo Subba, who came to the capital with a dream of becoming a professional football player, coming from a difficult family background. It poignantly depicts her struggles before and after arriving in the capital.

Directed by Milan Chams, the film is produced by Prem Kumar Shrestha. Shrestha, who also plays a role in the film, is Anjila’s ‘godfather’ in the movie. Anjila herself plays the lead role. Mao Tse Gurung and Dayahang Rai portray Anjila’s father, while Srijana Subba plays her mother. Sumin Gurung plays her brother, and Sunil Thapa plays her coach. The film also features performances by actors like Buddhi Tamang, Vijay Baral, and Manju Shrestha.
